Infosys Chief Marketing Officer Sumit Virmani joins the list of the 50 top Entrepreneurial CMOs curated by Forbes, yet again this year.
In the fourth edition of the list, Forbes shared it considers the entrepreneurial CMO “one who approaches driving growth neither beholden to the status quo nor to disrupting it for the sake of same. We believe the entrepreneurial CMO understands both what has enduring value and what needs to change, whether within their organizations and/or in how they go to market.”
Speaking to Forbes, Virmani said he values the entrepreneurial attitude over mere skills, celebrating risk-taking, experimentation, and recognizing excellence through failures that teach.
As AI continues shaping and reshaping the marketing landscape, Virmani told the business magazine he is determined to ensure Infosys helps lead the way for its clients and prospective ones by investing deeply in its brand.
Virmani joined Infosys in 2004 as the head of marketing of Finacle, a banking software developed by the company. He has held several key strategic roles within Infosys since, including leading marketing for Infosys Products & Platforms and serving as the global head of corporate marketing. In 2019, Virmani was appointed executive vice president and global chief marketing officer for the company.
