Out of the total 10,496 schools or junior colleges Maharashtra where the Class 12 Higher Secondary Exam (HSC) examination, 1,929 colleges or 18.38 per cent have recorded cent per cent passing rate. In contrast, 38 colleges have recorded a zero pass percentage, meaning not even a single student from the school managed to pass the exam.
According to data provided by the state board for the HSC result declared on Monday, 1,929 colleges recorded a cent per cent pass rate, 4,562 colleges recorded a pass rate in the range of 90 per cent to 100 per cent, 1806 colleges recorded 80 to 90 per cent, 966 colleges in the 70-80 per cent range, 504 colleges in the 60-70 per cent, 285 colleges from 50-60 per cent, 178 from 40-50 per cent, 107 colleges recorded 30 to 40 per cent passing rate, 62 colleges from 20 to 30 per cent, 43 colleges from 10-20 per cent, 16 colleges from 0.01- 10 per cent, while 38 colleges had no students passing.
The Pune division had the highest number of colleges with a 100 per cent pass rate at 310 colleges, followed by the Amravati division with 283 colleges, Nagpur division with 276 colleges, Nashik division at 247, Mumbai division at 240, Kolhapur at 198, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar division at 171, Konkan at 112, and Latur at 92.
Pune, Nagpur and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar divisions had six colleges each, where a single student did not pass the exam. This was followed by Mumbai and Latur with five colleges, Nashik with four colleges, Amravati with three, Kolhapur at two, and Konkan at one.
