The ICG station in Pipavav received information from the Fishing Association of Jafrabad in Amreli that a fisherman aboard the Indian Fishing Boat (IFB) Maa Kuldevi has suffered a medical emergency at sea about 90 km from the coast.
Indian Coast Guard Ship C-419 was immediately diverted to the spot. “The ship proceeded with max speed and established communication with IFB Maa Kuldevi (IND-GJ-14-MM-1649). On arrival, the ship found that the patient namely Kalu Deva Bareiya (57) was having severe chest pain and seizure episodes.
