
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) announced that it sold a total of 4,65,115 units in May 2025. The monthly figure includes domestic sales of 4,17,256 units and exports of 47,859 units.
In the year-to-date period for FY26 (April–May 2025), HMSI’s overall sales reached 9,45,979 units, with 8,40,155 units sold in the Indian market and 1,05,824 units exported.
During May, the company added to its BigWing portfolio by launching several premium motorcycles, including the Rebel 500, X-ADV, CB750 Hornet, CB1000 Hornet SP, and the 50th Anniversary edition of the Gold Wing Tour. The CB650R and CBR650R with E-Clutch technology were also introduced in the Indian market.
Marking a manufacturing milestone, Honda produced its 500 millionth motorcycle globally. HMSI also announced a new production line at its Vithalapur facility to support its manufacturing operations in India.
The company continued its road safety initiatives with campaigns held across 13 cities, including Jalgaon, Kolhapur, Hazaribagh, Ghaziabad, Kanpur, Kotputli, Faridabad, Vadodara, Thanjavur, Chengalpattu, Patiala, Bhagalpur, and Kadapa. A summer camp focused on traffic safety was also conducted in Hyderabad in partnership with the city’s traffic police.
In motorsports, CASTROL Honda LCR rider Johann Zarco secured a win at the French Grand Prix riding the Honda RC213V, while Luca Marini finished near the top ten in a competitive race weekend.
