HIT 3 box office collection day 5: Telugu star Nani has once again proven that he is a bankable personality with his latest action thriller, director Sailesh Kolanu’s HIT: The Third Case, also emerging as a hit and passing the crucial first Monday test, but only just. Although the movie witnessed a 60.78 per cent dip in its daily earnings compared to the collection it recorded on Sunday (Rs 10.25 crore), HIT 3 managed to enter the Rs 100 crore club during the day, making it the fourth-highest-grossing Telugu movie of 2025.
On Monday, Nani’s action thriller recorded an India nett collection of Rs 4.02 crore, according to early estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk, taking its domestic total to Rs 56.17 crore. Unfortunately, this also marked the first day on which HIT 3’s daily earnings fell to single digits after debuting at a whopping Rs 21 crore on Thursday and recording Rs 10.5 crore, Rs 10.4 crore and Rs 10.25 crore on the subsequent three days. Although Sacnilk data shows that the action thriller’s worldwide collection currently stands at Rs 82.6 crore, the makers of the movie announced on Monday that it had grossed Rs 101 crore globally in four days.

Interestingly, HIT 3’s first Monday collection surpassed the corresponding day earnings of Nani’s last three films as well. While Dasara (2023) eked out Rs 3.65 crore, Hi Nanna (2023) and Saripodhaa Sanivaaram (2024) collected Rs 2.35 crore and Rs 4 crore, respectively. During the day, HIT 3 recorded an overall occupancy rate of 24.01 per cent in the Telugu market. While the morning shows commenced with 17.20 per cent occupancy, the rate kept fluctuating as the day unfolded, with the afternoon shows recording 28.53 per cent occupancy and the evening and night screenings registering 23.22 per cent and 27.07 per cent, respectively.
Also starring Srinidhi Shetty, the movie is the third instalment in the HIT Universe and the sequel to HIT: The Second Case (2022). In our review of the movie, we noted, “It is clear where the HIT franchise is moving, and the third part had to be mounted on a certain scale to ensure this becomes into a pan-Indian franchise like no other.”
