Police probe has revealed that the driver resorted to the act because of his old dispute with the company and its employees. Investigation has found out that the driver had gotten a litre of benzene from the company and had kept it under the driver’s seat. The driver allegedly started by keeping some clothes under the benzene container and starting the fire with matches.

The dispute with the company was over payment of salary and also over the work he was asked to do and over his alleged harassment. “This was a coldblooded act and we have arrested the driver for this act,” said DCP Vishal Gaikwad.

Probe revealed that the driver jumped from the bus after starting the fire on a downward slope of the road.
