
Gujarat Foundation Day will be celebrated in Godhra in Panchamahals district on Thursday. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will inaugurate or lay foundation stones of various developmental projects worth Rs 644.72 crore at the event. Governor Acharya Devvrat will also be part of the celebrations.
Panchamahals District Collector Ashish Kumar said that the projects include a new office building of the Inspector General of Police, a bypass road, a ropeway extension at Pavagadh, a new building of RTO, a lithium iron battery processing plant.
An exhibition of weapons being used by Gujarat Police officers, a parade by policemen and performance by police bands will also be part of the celebrations in Godhra. A cultural event will also be held in the evening, during which some eminent personalities from Panchmahals district will be felicitated by the state government.
