A candlelight vigil by a prominent citizens group scheduled to be held in Ahmedabad on Tuesday evening demanding “Immediate Ceasefire in Gaza” which was permitted by the police, was postponed reportedly because of the other two high-security events in the city — The Congress CWC meet and the IPL match scheduled on Wednesday at the Narendra Modi stadium.

With President Droupadi Murmu on a visit to Portugal, two Lok Sabha MPs from Gujarat are accompanying her, Nimuben Bambhaniya and Dhaval Patel. Bambhaniya is from Bhavnagar constituency and is also Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution whereas, Patel is BJP MP from Valsad constituency. BJP MP from Madhya Pradesh Sandhya Ray has also joined Murmu for the visit.
