As he virtually addressed a gathering on the occasion of inauguration of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (GCCI’s) annual trade show – GATE 2025, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah acknowledged the contribution of GCCI in the development of Gujarat and also made suggestions for the body to ‘stay relevant’ in the next 25 years. Shah mentioned a number of points for the GCCI to work on like to draw a 25-year roadmap to include entire chain in a business under digital transactions, to promote, protect and augment the quality of entrepreneurship in youths of Gujarat, to be a link between young entrepreneurs keen to establish small business and government, to connect pioneer industries with ancillary industries and to have an internal system that helps the government in formation of policies and its implementation etc.. Shah said that if the Chamber has to ‘remain relevant’ then it should come up with an internal, in-built system to help industry, entrepreneurs and industrialists.
