Gujarat Confidential: Hacked & Restored | Ahmedabad News

Minister of State Jagish Vishwakarma Thursday issued a statement sharing that his X account was allegedly hacked by some “unidentified person” and an attempt was made to spread “misunderstanding” among “people” and “workers”. The minister also said that he had lodged an official complaint in this regard with the cyber crime police. By evening, the account was restored, official sources said.

The 303rd birth celebrations of ‘Bhavnagar Carnival’ scheduled on April 29 and 30 have been called off to mark solidarity with the victims of Pahalgam terror attack. The celebrations, in its tenth year, is a much awaited annual affair. The carnival is held at Kailash Vatika that can accommodate around 10,000 persons and in 2023 had even bagged a spot in the World Book of Records for the largest number of people celebrating the birth of a city. “The celebrations have been called off in the wake of 26 deaths in the Pahalgam terror attack, including two from Bhavnagar. We all stand in solidarity with the families and extend our tributes,” BJP MLA Jitu Vaghani who started this carnival in 2015 told The Indian Express. Among the major attractions this year were performances by popular Gujarati singers Kirtidan Gadhvi, Osman Mir, Sairam Dave among others along with cutting of a 303 kg laddoo.
