Godrej Motor Solutions Targets INR 1000 Crore Revenue by 2028

Godrej Enterprises Group’s Motor Solutions business announced plans to achieve INR 1000 crore in revenue by fiscal year 2028, representing a 40% increase from current levels. The company expects to reach INR 750 crore in revenue by FY26, with exports contributing 20% of total revenue.

The revenue growth strategy centers on expanding operations across electric vehicles, HVAC applications, pump applications, and actuator segments in both domestic and international markets. The business will invest INR 40 crore over the next three years to enhance manufacturing capabilities and introduce new production technologies.

“We are strengthening our manufacturing capabilities through significant R&D investments and advanced technology adoption,” said Xercsis Marker, Executive Vice President and Head of Motor Solutions Business at Godrej Enterprises Group. The company continues to invest in technology and capacity to serve growth sectors including electric vehicles, automation, actuators, and pumps while developing motor design innovations to reduce dependence on rare-earth materials.

The company has commissioned a new assembly line to support growth in Indian and export markets, particularly the United States and Europe. A high-precision lamination punching line from AIDA Japan is being installed to meet demand for ultra-thin laminations required in electric vehicle, aerospace, and automation applications.

Godrej Motor Solutions holds a 60% market share in hermetic motors for refrigeration and air-conditioning applications in the Indian domestic market. Recent product developments include complete assembled motors for the off-road electric vehicle market serving US customers, with plans to manufacture motors for a German company with compatible controller offerings.

The business is investing in motor technologies including Switched Reluctance and Synchronous Reluctance Motors to reduce reliance on rare earth magnets while improving efficiency. The facility can produce over 6 million motors annually and offers more than 300 customized products for various industrial applications.

The company’s manufacturing operations maintain sustainability certifications including IGBC Platinum and GreenCo Platinum Plus, with zero waste to landfill. The facilities operate as water positive and recycle 80% of finished goods packaging.

Located on a 36-acre manufacturing campus in Shindewadi, Pune, the Motor Solutions business operates within a regional supply chain, with most suppliers located within a 100-kilometer radius. This positioning takes advantage of Pune’s established manufacturing and automotive industry ecosystem.

Godrej Enterprises Group, established in 1897, operates across five continents with businesses spanning aerospace, aviation, defense, motor solutions, energy solutions, locks and security, engineering, real estate, logistics, consumer durables, furniture, vending, and information technology.
