Godrej eyes 50% growth in AC sales in FY26

With the early onset of summer season, Godrej Enterprises Group is eyeing 50 per cent growth in air conditioner sales in the upcoming fiscal with an aim to become among the top three players in the segment. The company on Tuesday launched a new range of products including smart air-conditioners.

Kamal Nandi, Business Head & EVP at Appliances Business of Godrej Enterprises Group said, “ We have been on a strong growth trajectory for the past two years. Last year, air-conditioner sales grew by 100 per cent plus which was 3 x of the industry. We have also been gaining market share over the past two years. In FY26, we anticipate to grow sales by 50-60 per cent and be among the top three players.”

He said industry is also expected to grow at 30-35 per cent over previous fiscal.

The group on Tuesday ramped up its AC portfolio, including a premium range of smart ACs and also announced its foray into the commercial AC segment with Cassette ACs and Tower Acs.

Godrej is focussing on its smart AC segment with multiple new model introductions such as AI-powered technology, IoT connectivity and WiFi-enabled controls, besides pushing more SKUs (Stock Keeping Units) in the 5-star AC portfolio and high cooling capacities spanning to 3 and 4 ton and new designer models.The new smart ACs from Godrej are priced starting from Rs 42,900 and will be available across India in authorised stores, and e-commerce platforms.

Godrej aims to overall garner 30-35 per cent sales growth for the overall appliance business in FY26 with an aim to touch over Rs 11,000 crore in revenues and expect about half of it to come from the AC business, Nandi added. Its appliance business will end FY25 with revenues of about Rs 8500 crore.

“From AI powered machines to patented anti-leak technology, unique wood finish ACs to compelling Smart ACs and powerful commercial ACs, our endeavour is to meet the premium aspirations of our consumers,” he added.
