Giorgia Andriani clears misinformation about her real age, says she is not 35

Indo-Italian diva Giorgia Andriani, in a recent conversation, highlighted a rather common, but less talked-about issue that plagues the entertainment industry, the `misinformation` plague. Addressing her own experience with false information being available about her on Google, Giorgia revealed, “If you Google me, it says I am from Milan and that I am 35 years old. Whereas, I am from the South of Italy and I turn 30 this year, in 2025!”

Giorgia on misinformation about her

Debunking common misconceptions about her background, in her characteristic humorous way, she added, “It also says that I have a huge collection of expensive cars like Ferraris, and well, who doesn`t want such rumours to be true?” highlighting the often absurd nature of celebrity misinformation.

While Giorgia has developed resilience against online falsehoods, she expressed genuine concern for others who may be more vulnerable to internet misinformation. “The internet sucks often times! I`ve grown a thick skin and usually don`t care about what is said about me. It doesn`t make any difference to me, but I do feel bad for people who are bothered by these kinds of things and get affected,” she stated, acknowledging the varying impacts of online misinformation.

Giorgia`s remarks come at a time when discussions about digital literacy and the impact of misinformation are increasingly prominent. By sharing her personal experience with false information, she contributes to an important conversation about the real-world consequences of unchecked online content. “Sometimes things are taken to extreme extents, and I really feel for whoever is hurt because of false statements,” she emphasized, underscoring the potential harm that can result from digital falsehoods.

Giorgia on gender equality

In an exclusive conversation with IANS earlier this year, she shared, “True equality to me doesn’t mean we erase or eliminate the distinguishing qualities. Here, I am referring to being treated as equal when it comes to the opportunities that are offered to us, and the ability with which both genders approach said opportunities, and be treated in a fair manner. In my opinion, men and women will truly be considered equal when the concept of equality is understood by society and we do not have to keep talking about this subject, trying to hammer it into the minds of people over and over again. It should simply be a natural state of being.”

“Gender equality at the workplace will only begin when the 2 main topics are addressed – leadership opportunities and the pay gap. I firmly believe that when women are given equal opportunity and power in decision-making, they will inevitably bring to the table unique perspectives, not driven by the opposite gender. Not just that, but a pay cheque matching numbers with those of their male counterparts, is not only a sign of acknowledgment of their input but also a strong motivator. I believe that empowerment will come when women are judged solely on the basis of merit.”, she revealed.
