
Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited (GETCO) has won laurels for being the Best Performing Power Transmission (System) Utility at the Central Board of Irrigation and Power (CBIP) Award for 2024 for its “outstanding” works on various technical and performance parameters in the field of power transmission.
Upendra Pande, Managing Director of GETCO, and AB Rathod, Chief Engineer (Projects), received the award at the hands of Central Electricity Authority (CEA) Chairperson Ghanshyam Prasad and Central Water Commission’s Chairman Mukesh Kumar Sinha in New Delhi on Friday.
GETCO has won this award for its performance across various criteria, which included evaluation on several performance parameters such as Project Execution and Asset Addition, System Availability, Innovative Measures, Disaster Mitigation and Safety Initiatives. Pande thanked the state government, minister Kanu Desai, and SJ Haider, Additional Chief Secretary, Energy & Petrochemicals Department, for their “support and guidance” in helping GETCO achieve the milestone.
