
Georgian National University SEU will be investing ₹1,300 crore in setting up its campus in the North Andhra region of Andhra Pradesh.
The Andhra Pradesh government and the university entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of the State Minister for IT & Education Nara Lokesh in Amaravati on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Lokesh said the proposed investment of Georgian National University in the state would not only bring global education to students but also help in honing the skills of job aspirants in line with global requirements.
Apart from imparting world-class education and skills, the investment would also generate employment for 500 people, the minister said.
Established in 2001, Georgian National University SEU, located in Tbilisi, Georgia, is one of the renowned universities for international students, according to a release.
