Samsung is all set to launch its next-gen foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, at its upcoming Unpacked event in July. In addition to the new foldables, the Korean tech giant could launch several new Galaxy smartwatches and a fresh pair of Galaxy Buds. If you are waiting for the successors to the Galaxy Tab S10+ series tablets, you’ll have to wait a little longer. However, there’s some good news, as a new rumor indicates that Samsung could finally increase the battery capacity of the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.
Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra could boast a bigger battery
According to a report by the Dutch website GalaxyClub, the upcoming Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra has a rated battery capacity of 11,374mAh. It’ll be a 500mAh bump over the Galaxy Tab S10’s power cell that has a rated capacity of 10,800.
Samsung advertises the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra’s battery capacity as 11,200mAh. So, it’s likely that Samsung will market the typical battery capacity of the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra to be 11,700mAh or even 12,000mAh.
Samsung is reviving the base model
Furthermore, the source claims that Samsung is reviving the “base” model with the Galaxy Tab S11 series. Samsung could leave the 12.4-inch Galaxy Tab S10 Plus without a follow-up, at least for now. Unfortunately, the vanilla Galaxy Tab S11 won’t get a battery jump. It’ll offer a rated battery capacity of 8,160mAh, which the brand could advertise to be an 8,400mAh battery. It is the same as the Galaxy Tab S9’s power cell.
As of now, it’s unclear if Samsung will bump the battery capacity of the “Fan Edition” tablet lineup this year. We still don’t know the exact launch date for the Galaxy Tab S11 series. However, it could happen at some point around September, as the company launched the Tab S10 series the same month last year.
