The rumor mill for Samsung’s next-generation tablets is officially churning. The company announced the main Galaxy Tab S10 series arrived in October 2024, and the more affordable Galaxy Tab S10 FE just arrived in April. Now, we are already getting solid leaks about the next flagship. The upcoming Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra has reportedly surfaced on the Geekbench benchmark database, confirming a crucial detail: its powerhouse chip.
For those who prioritize performance, this is excellent news. The listing indicates the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra will indeed be powered by a Dimensity 9400+ processor. So, for the second year in a row, the most premium Galaxy Tab will use a MediaTek chip. This seems to confirm a change from the trend of previous years, where Samsung’s “Ultra” tablets boasted flagship Snapdragon chips.
Dimensity 9400+ chip onboard the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra
The Dimensity 9400+ is MediaTek’s latest flagship mobile platform, having launched in April 2025. If the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is already showing up with this chip, it suggests Samsung is planning some serious power for its next high-end tablet. We can anticipate substantial improvements in raw processing speed, graphics performance, and AI capabilities compared to the current generation. This translates to smoother multitasking, faster application loading, more immersive gaming, and enhanced on-device AI features.
The SoC boasts a CPU with 4x cores at 2.40 GHz, 3x cores at 3.30 GHz, and 1x core at 3.73 GHz. A powerful Mali-G925-Immortalis MC12 GPU is in charge of graphics processing. In addition to the chip, the Geekbench listing (via Abhishek Yadav) confirms that there are 12GB of RAM onboard. This combination translates to single-core and multi-core scores of 2,675 and 8,039 points, respectively.
It’s noteworthy that the tablet had already been detected in the same benchmark previously. However, early tests yielded results far below the hardware’s capabilities. The latest benchmark offers a more realistic view of what it will be capable of in terms of raw power.
It’s still early days for the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, as we’re likely quite a ways off from its official announcement. However, for those already looking ahead to the future of Android tablets, this leak is a promising sign that Samsung is preparing a robust machine. Expect some serious processing muscle in your next large-screen companion.
