Samsung may just have a new pair of earbuds on the way called the Galaxy Buds Core, as a listing for a pair of earbuds with this name has shown up at the FCC.
These are suggested to be a new pair of true wireless earbuds for the company and could end up being the successor to the Galaxy Buds FE. It kinda makes sense, given the “marketing name” listed in the FCC document. The word Core is used to designate the product being a more entry-level basic model. This is exactly what the FE variants of Samsung’s products are – entry-level basic versions of the flagship counterparts.
Microsoft did a similar thing with the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller when it came out with a more basic model. The ‘Core’ variant of this popular controller came with a less expensive price tag and had fewer accessories. Of course, there are other factors here that point to these being what would have been the Galaxy Buds FE 2.

What seems to be the biggest takeaway and suggestion that these are the follow-up to the Galaxy Buds FE is the model number. As pointed out by 91mobiles, the Galaxy Buds FE have the model number SM-R400. The Galaxy Buds Core are listed as having the model number SM-R410. Signifying that these are the next pair of earbuds in the lineup.
It’s not concrete evidence, mind you, but it does seem pretty likely when you factor in the other details. There aren’t too many more details about these earbuds, at least nothing completely telling. The FCC documentation reveals that the earbuds have a 200mAh battery inside them. The charging case, on the other hand, has a battery capacity of 500mAh. They also appear to support dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0+.
There aren’t any actual images of the earbuds, so it’s not clear if the design is going to be the same as the Galaxy Buds FE. There’s also no mention of cost here, obviously, since this is just FCC documentation. However, if these are the successors to the Galaxy Buds FE, you can expect the price won’t be too much. The Galaxy Buds FE launched for $100, so there’s a good chance these new “Galaxy Buds Core” will be similarly inexpensive.
