Andhra Pradesh will be launching free bus service for women. According to Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, the scheme will be launched on August 15.

Revenue, Registration & Stamps Minister Anagani Satya Prasad said that 16,000 teacher posts will be filled through a ‘Mega DSC’ (district selection committee) examination before the schools reopen. “We will also kick off the Thalliki Vandanam (a financial support scheme for mothers with school-going children). We will credit ₹15,000 in their accounts before the schools reopen,” the Chief Minister said.

The free bus scheme is one of the ‘Super Six’ promises made by the NDA parties during the 2024 Assembly election campaign, an Andhra Pradesh Government statement said here on Saturday.

Taking part in the Swarna Andhra–Swachh Andhra programme in Panyam constituency of Kurnool district, he said the Government targeted to make the State a net-zero State.
