Four arrested for Andheri shop burglary Police recover 150 watches

Mumbai Police have arrested alleged four serial offenders in connection with a major robbery at a mobile and branded watch shop in Andheri East earlier this month. They have also recovered the stolen property, including phones and cash from the accused.

According to police, the burglary occurred around September 7/8, when unidentified people broke into the shop and decamped with around 150 watches of various brands, 10 mobile phones, and cash.

Following the complaint, authorities launched an investigation using technical surveillance and inputs from informants. The main accused, 46-year-old Moinuddin Nazim Shaikh, was apprehended first. Police said the Mumbra resident is a habitual offender. His interrogation led to the arrest of three accomplices from Turbhe and Dongri.

The other three are Sabir Shaikh (40), a Vashi resident; Amruddin Ali Hasan Shaikh (60), from Dongri;  and Prabhu Bhaglu Choudhary (30), of Airoli.

Mumbai Police stated that Sabir Shaikh has two previous cases registered against him, while Amruddin Ali Hasan Shaikh and Prabhu Bhaglu Choudhary are booked for five other past offences.
