OPPO has shared the very first Find X8 Ultra camera sample. Alongside it, the company also placed a camera sample from the iPhone 16 Pro Max, just to let you compare the two. This camera sample comes from Zhou Bao, a Product Manager over at OPPO.

OPPO purposely shared a camera sample from a darker environment, which is not easy to capture properly. It’s not only dark, but there’s also a neon sign in the background and a woman holding a glass, which is supposed to be a subject here.
OPPO collaborates with Hasselblad, and Hasselblad does wonders with colors and their balance in images. The OPPO Find X8 Ultra basically crushed the iPhone 16 Pro Max in this particular sample.

OPPO’s upcoming flagship was able to properly expose the subject, while not messing up the image of the neon sign in the background. That neon sign turned to a completely different color in the iPhone 16 Pro Max sample, not to mention that the subject is underexposed, the same goes for other parts of the image. The subject also has a heavy blue hue on her.
The OPPO Find X8 Ultra is rumored to have truly powerful cameras. A 50-megapixel main camera with a 1-inch type sensor (Sony’s LYT-900) is tipped. A 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 camera will be used for the 3x persicope telephoto camera. Furthermore, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 will be used for a 6x periscope telephoto camera, allegedly. The last camera will be a 50-megapixel unit, an ultrawide one.
This smartphone will launch on April 10, OPPO confirmed quite recently. It will launch alongside the OPPO Find X8s, the company’s upcoming compact flagship. Some other devices are also expected to arrive during the launch. Another detail that was confirmed by OPPO’s Product Manager is a 6,100mAh battery unit for the OPPO Find X8 Ultra.
