After a long wait, Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor’s Aabeer Gulaal (previously Abir Gulaal) has been released worldwide today, September 12. The Pakistani actor was supposed to make his Bollywood comeback with this film way back in May. But the Pahalgam terror left the fate of the film uncertain, and its release was cancelled in India.

However, reports are now suggesting that the film has a possibility of releasing in Indian theatres. As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, the team of Indian Stories Limited (UK) has decided to release the film in India two weeks from now. The publication quoted a source as saying, “Aabeer Gulaal has released today, that is, September 12, across the globe. The team of Indian Stories Limited (UK) have now made the decision to release the film in cinemas in India two weeks from now, on September 26. They are confident of the product and feel that the film, which is a simple and sweet love story, has the potential to attract the audience everywhere, including India. Moreover, no other film is scheduled for a release on September 26, and hence, Aabeer Gulaal will enjoy a solo release in the country.”

Interestingly, the Wikipedia page of the film also states that the film is scheduled to release in India on September 26.
