Actor Rishabh Sawhney gained popularity after his stint in Hrithik Roshan’s and Deepika Padukone’s Fighter. And now, he is gearing up for the screening of his film Echoes of Valour at the Venice Film Festival. The Indira Dhar directorial also stars Divya Dutta and Neeraj Kabi in key roles.

Talking about the film’s closed-door screening at the festival, he said, “Of course, it’s a surreal feeling. You always feel special when your film gets selected for an international film festival, especially the Venice Film Festival, which is one of the most prestigious festivals in the world. Not only is this a beautiful film, but it will also represent our country on a global stage, and that makes me truly proud.”

The actor then shared his experience of sharing the screen with Dutt and expressed his admiration for the actor. Rishabh continued, “Working with Divya ma’am was an absolute pleasure. I’ve admired her in so many films and shows, and she has always been brilliant. To witness her craft firsthand on set was an experience that’s hard to put into words. The depth and gravity she brought to her character in Echoes of Valour will truly blow your mind once you watch the film.”

Further opening up about the film, he added, “The shoot itself was a lot of fun. When I met her for the first time during the shoot, I realised she is such a chilled-out, fun-loving person, very easy to work with and someone who makes her co-actors feel completely comfortable. Another highlight for me was working with Neeraj Kabi sir. When I first moved to Mumbai, he was actually my first acting coach, so to share screen space with him in this film was a very special and exciting moment for me.”

Following its presentation at the Cannes Film Festival 2025, the movie is now ready for its inaugural exclusive closed-door screening at the Venice Film Festival 2025. Echoes of Valour is touted to be a poignant biopic on the mother of an Indian army soldier.
