Evera Begins Acquisition of BluSmart’s Electric Fleet After Service Suspension

Evera Cabs, operated by Prakriti Mobility, has begun the process of acquiring electric cabs previously operated by BluSmart following the latter’s suspension of services in key metropolitan cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.

As part of this initiative, Evera has committed to acquiring 500 electric vehicles, with 220 already repossessed through arrangements with lenders. The company has outlined a larger acquisition funnel of up to 1,000 BluSmart cabs, aiming to enhance its operational capabilities, particularly in the airport mobility segment.

Evera, which has been active in the B2B electric vehicle segment for five years and has operated dedicated airport services since 2022, is expanding its fleet to fill the gap left by BluSmart. The company’s immediate focus is to redeploy the newly acquired vehicles to support its services around Indira Gandhi International Airport, ensuring availability and efficient turnaround times for passengers.

Commenting on the development, Nimish Trivedi, Co-Founder and CEO of Evera, stated that the company’s strategy involves integrating experienced vehicles and drivers to maintain consistent service levels. Evera is focused on offering rides without cancellations or dynamic pricing, with an emphasis on reliability and accessibility.

The company has already onboarded around 150 former BluSmart drivers, and ongoing recruitment efforts are underway to support the larger fleet. Approximately 10% of the newly joining drivers are women, reflecting Evera’s approach to inclusive hiring and workforce development.

In the next phase, Evera will expand its services to cover all terminals at Delhi’s airport. Previously limited to Terminal 3, the broadened fleet allows the company to offer full-terminal coverage, aiming to meet growing demand and improve commuter access.

The company offers app-based taxi services with a focus on sustainable, airport-centric travel. Its operations cater to both corporate clients and individual commuters, combining electric vehicle technology with trained driver services to promote clean and dependable urban transport.
