The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has conducted a search and seizure operation at the premises of the Gensol Engineering in Ahmedabad and Gurgaon, the company stated in a filing with the stock exchanges, Monday.
“The Search and Seizure operation was conducted by the Directorate of Enforcement at Ahmedabad, and Gurgaon premises of the Company. The premises were searched by the Directorate of Enforcement. Some documents, electronic devices and others financial records have been seized,” the Ahmedabad-based company stated, adding that the operation was carried out under the provisions of the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 .
The promoters of Gensol Engineering — Anmol Singh Jaggi and Puneet Singh Jaggi — are currently under the scrutiny of market regulator SEBI over allegations of diversion of funds meant for purchase of electric vehicles. “The Company is in the process of taking appropriate legal measures in respect of the Search and Seizure operation by the Directorate of Enforcement,” the company added.
