Mumbai, July 11: The much-anticipated trailer for Dhadak 2 has officially dropped, stirring excitement among Bollywood fans. A fresh take on love, rebellion, and societal boundaries, the film stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri in lead roles and marks a powerful new chapter in Dharma Productions’ emotional drama legacy.

Directed by Shazia Iqbal, Dhadak 2 is set to release in cinemas nationwide on August 1. The film is jointly produced by Zee Studios, Dharma Productions, and Cloud 9 Pictures, with an impressive production team led by Karan Johar, Umesh Kumar Bansal, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Meenu Aroraa, Somen Mishra, and Pragati Deshmukh. Marijke deSouza serves as co-producer.

The screenplay and dialogues have been crafted by Rahul Badwelkar and Shazia Iqbal, adapting the original storyline into a contemporary setting that explores complex relationships and societal pressures.

While the original Dhadak (2018) introduced a tragic love story with Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter, Dhadak 2 promises a grittier, more grounded narrative that reflects the raw emotions of two young souls fighting for their love against the odds.

The trailer showcases heart-wrenching moments, high drama, and a powerful soundtrack, setting the stage for what could be one of 2024’s most emotionally resonant films.
