Delhi News Live Updates: Temperature drops in national capital, AQI at 115 in moderate category | Delhi News

Delhi News Live Updates: After days of sweltering heat, the national capital on Saturday morning recorded a minimum temperature of 15.5°C, which is 2.6 notches below the seasonal normal, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in its forecast. At 8.30 am, the minimum temperature was 13°C at Palam, which was 4.7 degrees below the seasonal average while the lowest temperature in the city was 10.2°C at Ridge station. The relative humidity at 8.30 am stood at 32 per cent.

Air Quality Index: Air quality was in the moderate category with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 115 at 9 am, as per data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). Strong winds throughout the day are likely to bring down the AQI further.

IMD predicts strong surface winds and clear skies for the rest of the day in Delhi and NCR. The maximum temperature during the day is expected to read 32°C, which is a significant drop from two days ago, when several areas in Delhi saw the mercury touching 40°C.
