
Delhi News Live Updates: Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has announced a sharp increase in tuition fees for the 2025-26 academic year, with hikes ranging from 16% to 41% across various courses. The fee revisions, outlined in the university’s latest prospectus, cover both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, marking a significant rise compared to last year.
Social sciences programmes, including MA and BA (Hons) in Political Science, BCom (Hons), and the four-year BA (Multidisciplinary), now carry a fee of Rs 9,875 per year, marking a 32.99% increase from the previous fee of Rs 7,425. In addition to the fee hikes, JMI has announced the launch of 14 new courses and expanded its use of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores for admissions.
