
Delhi News Live Updates, May 5, 2025: The Delhi High Court today will hear petitions by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia against the trial court’s decision to take cognisance of the Enforcement Directorate’s charge sheet filed in alleged excise policy scam. Besides seeking to set aside the trial court’s order, Kejriwal has also sought quashing of all proceedings in the case. The petitions, filed in 2024, are listed for hearing before Justice Ravinder Dudeja.
Meanwhile, a special two-day Assembly session is likely to be held around mid-May to table the Delhi School Education Transparency in Fixation and Regulation of Fees Bill, 2025. “The special session is likely to be called on May 13 and 14. Arbitrary behaviour by schools will be discussed, and efforts will be made to create transparency. Apart from this, discussions were also held during today’s meeting on monsoon preparedness and the government’s achievements,” a source in the BJP said.
