Delhi News Live Updates: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday conducted a raid at the Rajinder Nagar residence of senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Durgesh Pathak. Reacting to the development, AAP leaders alleged that the raid was politically motivated, linking it to Pathak’s recent appointment as co-incharge for the 2027 Gujarat Assembly elections. AAP leaders Manish Sisodia and Atishi, claimed the move was a sign of the BJP’s unease over AAP’s growing presence in Gujarat. Pathak had previously been named in a CBI chargesheet related to the Delhi excise policy case and was also questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with alleged money laundering linked to AAP’s 2022 Goa election campaign, which he supervised.

How is the weather in Delhi today? According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the national capital is expected to witness mainly clear skies throughout the day on Thursday, accompanied by sustained surface winds ranging between 10–20 km/h. Looking ahead, the weather department forecasts partly cloudy skies along with strong surface winds, with speeds ranging from 20–30 km/h and gusts reaching up to 40 km/h over the next three days.

In other news, the Delhi Public Works Department (PWD) has begun drainage work at the Minto Road underpass — one of the city’s most flood-prone spots — to prevent waterlogging ahead of the monsoon. The agency has also begun working to ease the waterlogging problem at West Delhi’s Zakhira underpass, officials said on Wednesday. Both spots have been on the list of the top ten waterlogging spots for the past several years. The PWD is constructing a new 1,000 mm diameter drain to handle excess rainwater. The drain will be laid around three metres underground and extend up to the BJP’s national headquarters on Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg, connecting to a larger drainage system, according to the PTI reports.
