Delhi Minister of Home, Power, and Education Ashish Sood on Monday inaugurated a sewer line replacement project near C2C Block in his Assembly constituency of Janakpuri.
The inauguration comes after the area’s residents had raised concerns about the collapsed sewer line, causing an overflow of wastewater in the area. Sood had then directed Delhi Jal Board officials to replace the 126-metre-long sewer line in a month.
He also instructed a comprehensive inspection of all sewer lines in Janakpuri, prioritising repairs and replacements where needed, especially before the monsoon.
