HIS EYES set on the Bihar elections later this year, Union Minister of Food Processing Industries and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan remains focussed on another big event being organised by his ministry — World Food India 2025 — scheduled for the last week of September. This year, the ministry aims to host the mega event across an area exceeding one lakh square metres. On Friday, Paswan reviewed the ongoing preparations for the event at his office in Panchsheel Bhawan.

Pledge To Serve

Padma awardee doctors from across the country have written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressing outrage over the Pahalgam terror attack. The doctors have offered to provide any medical assistance needed, including free consultations and rehabilitation assistance. The senior doctors have also offered their services for medical guidance and counselling for families that lost their loved ones.

Plea Under Scanner

One of the Union Cabinet ministers recently requested the Delhi Police to install a baggage scanner at his residence and the department sent one right away. The machine, however, had to be sent back as there was little space at the entrance of the residence for an instrument of that size. Now, the minister has modified his request, asking for a smaller baggage scanner that can fit into the available space. The Delhi Police is now thinking of either buying a new scanner or getting a smaller sized machine from somewhere else.
