Some senior leaders of the RSS are also expected to visit the national capital in the coming days and, according to sources, they are likely to discuss the issue with the BJP leadership. All India Congress Committee (AICC) observers, entrusted by the party to set up district units in Gujarat as a pilot project, have started work to ensure “impartial selection” of probables. A day after Rahul Gandhi convened a meeting, the observers have started collecting data from the districts assigned to them. An AICC observer who was in Delhi on Wednesday said that he was already “trying to understand who were the candidates best-suited for the job”. The Congress leader said he was going through the data on his mobile phone, in between appointments and work, while on the go.
