CJI Sanjiv Khanna was at the Delhi High Court on Tuesday for lunch with judges of his parent High Court. The unusual lunch date, it is learnt, was a confidence-boosting measure for the High Court that has been under the scanner since the Justice Yashwant Varma case came to light. The CJI was accompanied by fellow SC judges Justices B R Gavai and Manmohan. While Justice Gavai will take over as the CJI on May 14, Justice Manmohan was the former Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court.

Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying S P Singh Baghel is set to host a grand event in Agra on June 1 to mark the 300th birth anniversary of Ahilyabai Holkar, the queen of Malwa kingdom. According to a close aide of the minister, the event will bring together leaders from Pal, Baghel and Dhangar communities from different states. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya have also confirmed their attendance, the aide said.
