
The decomposed body of a woman in her mid-thirties was found inside the bed box of a flat in Delhi’s Vivek Vihar area, the police said on Friday, adding that the owner of the apartment has been detained. The woman has not been identified yet.
According to the police, on Friday, the Vivek Vihar police station received a call about a foul smell emanating from a Delhi Development Authority flat in Satyam Enclave. “The house was found locked from outside, and some blood was found coming out from the back door. On opening the door, the decomposed dead body of a lady was found,” Prashanth Priya Gautam, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Shahdara, said.
The lady, around 35 years of age, was found wrapped in a blanket and locked in a bed box, the police said. “The house owner, Vivekanand Mishra, is being interrogated,” DCP Gautam added.
