Dangal actress Zaira Wasim recently tied the knot and announced it on social media. She shared glimpses from her nikaah ceremony. For those unaware, Zaira is also known for her roles in movies like Secret Superstar and The Sky Is Pink. Sharing an update about her marriage, she posted two photographs from the event. She captioned the post as, “Qubool hai x3.”

In the first image, she is seen signing the nikaah nama or the marriage contract. She is wearing bridal mehendi and several rings, one of which is a statement emerald ring. In the second click, Zaira and her husband are seen admiring the moon. She has donned a deep red traditional ensemble while her husband is in a beige sherwani.

On the professional front, Zaira had announced stepping away from the industry in 2019. Interestingly, in her career, she has won numerous accolades for her roles, including a Filmfare Award and a National Film Award. However, she had shared a statement with her fans before her departure from the film industry. Zaira said, “This field indeed brought a lot of love, support, and appreciation my way, but what it also did was lead me to a path of ignorance, as I silently and unconsciously transitioned out of imaan. While I continued to work in an environment that consistently interfered with my ‘imaan’, my relationship with my religion was threatened.”
