“Bhagwa-e-Hind Vs Katwa-e-Hind” Title by ABP News
Hyderabad, July 8: In a shocking display of irresponsibility, ABP News used a deeply offensive and communal title during a live news segment — “भगवा-ए-हिंद Vs कटवा-ए-हिंद” — drawing widespread outrage across the country. The phrase, aired in a live show hosted by Avdhesh Mishra, has been criticized for inciting Hindu-Muslim hatred and promoting communal polarization.

Crime Today News strongly condemns this dangerous narrative and labels it as another disgraceful example of Godi Media’s relentless attempt to manufacture a Hindu vs Muslim divide in Indian society.
This type of language, especially from a mainstream news outlet, is not only provocative and unethical but also a serious threat to India’s secular fabric. The use of derogatory terms like “कटवा-ए-हिंद” (a known slur used against Muslims) is absolutely unacceptable in any media broadcast, more so when it’s presented as legitimate news content.
Rising Toxicity in Prime-Time Media
Over the years, several news channels have been accused of biased coverage, promoting hate, and running agendas that serve political interests rather than the public good. ABP News, once seen as a relatively balanced network, has now joined the ranks of platforms that seemingly thrive on controversy and communal provocation.
“This is not journalism. This is propaganda,” said a media analyst responding to the broadcast. “When you allow such terms to be broadcast on national television, you’re legitimizing hate speech.”
Call for Accountability
Crime Today News urges the Broadcasting Content Complaints Council (BCCC) and Press Council of India to take immediate action against ABP News for airing such inflammatory content. There should be strict penalties for any media house that encourages or platforms hate, directly or indirectly.
Additionally, Crime Today calls upon the citizens of India to boycott such divisive programming and support media outlets that promote peace, truth, and unity.
