Other celebrities against whom cases have been filed include: Prakash Raj, Nidhhi Agerwal, Lakshmi Manchu, Vakeel Saab actress Ananya Nagalla, YouTuber Siri Hanumanthu, anchor Sreemukhi, Prameetha, Varshini Sounderajan, Vasanthi Krishnan, Soba Shetty, Amrutha Chowdary, Nayani Pvani, Neha Pathan, Imran Khan, Vishnupriya, Harsha Sai, Supritha and others.
The case highlights the legal scrutiny faced by celebrities for endorsing betting applications, which are reportedly operating in violation of Indian laws. The inclusion of Vijay and Rana makes the ongoing issue high-profile. These two celebrities featured in pop-ads promoting betting and gambling, the Telangana police said.
