BTS member Jimin has officially bid farewell to his cherished mirror graffiti that he created before beginning his mandatory military service. On October 28, the singer surprised fans with a rare update on Instagram, where he shared the emotional moment of wiping off his 2-year-old artwork from HYBE’s practice room mirror.
Back in 2021, during a lighthearted moment with fellow BTS member V, Jimin had drawn a large, colorful graffiti on the practice room mirror. The artwork featured a halo, praying hands, encouraging messages, and seven purple hearts, a tribute to BTS and their fans, ARMY. Despite being a playful doodle, the company had chosen to leave the graffiti untouched, turning it into an iconic part of BTS’ practice space.

In his latest post, Jimin captioned the video, “Deleting (removing) the graffiti after 2 years.” The clip showed him carefully wiping the mirror with a towel, letting out a sigh and joking about how difficult it was to erase. After finishing, he smiled and promised fans that he would “work hard at the studio.”
Member J-Hope, currently also serving in the military, added a teasing comment under the post, writing, “I need to use the practice room now, so please clean it up thoroughly,” along with a laughing emoji.

The graffiti included heartfelt words such as “I’ll be back,” “Don’t worry. We’ll go to catch you soon,” and “Please be healthy, don’t get hurt, and stay happy,” messages Jimin and V had written for their fans before their enlistment. It became a symbol of warmth and connection for ARMY during BTS’s military hiatus.
Over the past two years, the mirror drawing had often appeared in behind-the-scenes videos and livestreams from other HYBE artists, earning smiles and admiration for the BTS members’ creativity and sentiment.
As Jimin wiped away the colorful piece, fans flooded social media with emotional reactions, calling it “the end of an era.” The moment symbolized not just the closing of a chapter but also the promise of new beginnings once BTS reunites after their military service.
