
The Indian unit of the German engineering and technology giant has received a demand notice exceeding ₹20 crore from the Income Tax department for the assessment year 2022-23.
According to the assessment order dated March 28, 2025, the company has been served a tax demand of ₹18.36 crore, along with an interest charge of ₹1.80 crore, bringing the total liability to over ₹20 crore, the company said in its regulatory filing.
The company is in the process of filing an appeal. It confirmed that no penalty has been quantified in the order.
