Be ready to pay premium prices for MSI’s latest gaming laptops

Summary: MSI has just launched its first crop of gaming laptops featuring RTX 50-series GPUs, including the RTX 5090. Boasting powerful specs and high price tags, each of these laptops promises to boost your gaming performance to new heights.

MSI just launched its first RTX 50-series gaming laptops with availability starting today on some RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 models, but if you’re looking to upgrade, be prepared to spend some money. The good news is that MSI has several other models and the prices drop considerably depending on which model you go with.

Everything MSI has listed also comes powered by the RTX 5090 so they all come with the most powerful laptop GPU on the market. After initially announcing these laptops during CES 2025, MSI is now confirming availability. You’ll be able to find these laptops at major retailers across the US, including Amazon, Newegg, B&H, and Microcenter. You can also pick them up from MSI’s direct online store if you prefer to buy straight from the brand.

One thing to keep in mind is given the difference between the RTX 5090 laptop GPU and its desktop counterpart, you might want to opt for a less expensive option. For instance, MSI’s new Stealth and Vector laptops. These start at under $2,900 and under $2,200, respectively, and they both come with an RTX 5090.

MSI RTX 5090 laptops are available at major US retailers

MSI has several laptops available across four different model families. These include the MSI Vector series which starts at $2,199, the MSI Stealth series which starts at $2,899, the MSI Raider series which starts at $4,099, and then the Titan series which starts at $4,999. MSI also has a special edition Titan 18 HX, the Dragon Norse Myth model. This will set you back a whopping $5,199.

With a range of options, there’s something for every gamer who prefers a laptop setup. If you’re going for the big boy, it’s important to know what you’re getting. The MSI Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition Norse Myth. It houses a hefty 64GB of RAM and an Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX. It’s worth noting that this CPU is part of the Arrow Lake family. Intel recently showed this off at an event in China, harnessing the power of AI to assist you in games.

Additionally, you get a 4TB SSD. That’s plenty of storage for all of your games. It’s also worth mentioning that Amazon doesn’t appear to have the RTX 5090 model. Just the one with the RTX 5080. So at that price, you’re probably better off with a different model. In fact, Amazon only shows the Raider series with an RTX 5090 in stock. That being said, the Raider 18 HX with the RTX 5090 retails for $5,399.99.

Many of these models aren’t in stock yet

While MSI is announcing US availability of these laptops, most of them don’t appear in stock. MSI’s own store merely lists “notify me” badges across most models. Although it does have the Raider 18 HX and the Vector 16 HX in stock. Newegg appears to have several options, though. So if you’re planning to get one of these new laptops, you can pre-order most of them through Newegg.
