Bajaj Allianz Life sets up special claims desk for Air India crash victims

Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance has simplified documentation requirements, allowing certificates from hospitals or municipal authorities if a death certificate isn’t available.

Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance has activated special measures to assist the families of its policyholders affected by the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad on Thursday.

It has established a dedicated special claims settlement desk to prioritise the processing of death and disability claims for its customers impacted due to this tragedy, the insurer said on Friday.

To simplify the process, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance has listed a minimal documentation process that nominees, legal heirs or policyholders need to submit to process their claims.

If the death certificate is not immediately available, a certificate issued by the municipal authority or hospital will also be accepted to initiate the claim process, along with the nominee’s KYC and bank mandate.

Claims can be notified and details submitted through any of the following convenient modes: by calling the company’s toll-free number 1800-209-7272 or by visiting any of the 596 branches across the country. Claims can also be emailed to claims@bajajallianz.co.in, the company said in a release.
