Atlas Copco Tools and Industrial Assembly Solutions hosted its EVolution Days event at the company’s Innovation Centre in Bavdhan, Pune. The event brought together over 110 stakeholders from the electric vehicle (EV) sector, including OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and line builders, to demonstrate technologies designed for EV manufacturing.
The event featured live demonstrations of Atlas Copco’s technologies, including automated torquing, robotic dispensing, flow drilling, advanced riveting with error-proofing via vision systems, and customized software tools. These systems are designed to support key EV production needs such as battery cell safety, traceability, lightweight material compatibility, and process reliability.
Chandrashekhar Pathak, General Manager, Industrial Technique, Atlas Copco (India) Pvt. Ltd., said the company aims to provide end-to-end solutions for battery pack assembly and EV production. He emphasized the value of demonstrating solutions in real-world use cases to help customers understand their practical applications.
Atlas Copco also organized expert sessions during the event, focusing on integrated design and assembly strategies for electric vehicles. The company’s approach spans the entire product lifecycle, from design to delivery.
According to the company, its tools and technologies are aimed at improving productivity, quality, and traceability in EV production. Atlas Copco’s role in the e-mobility sector includes delivering turnkey solutions to help manufacturers develop electric vehicles with reduced complexity and improved reliability.
