Anker has expanded its range of audio accessories by launching the Soundcore Sleep A30 earbuds. Successors to the Soundcore Sleep A20, Anker’s new earbuds come with a handful of new upgrades, the most important of which is Active Noise Cancellation (ANC).
The accessory maker has redesigned the new earbuds to feature a more comfortable design than the predecessor. Another big highlight of the Soundcore Sleep A30 earbuds is the snore detection abilities.
Anker’s new Soundcore Sleep A30 earbuds can mask snoring sounds while you sleep
Anker’s latest earbuds offer an Adaptive Snore Masking feature, built inside the case, which responds to a partner’s snoring in real time. As per the brand, it utilizes mics in the new case to analyze the volume and frequency of nearby snoring. Once the case detects snoring sounds, it generates “noise masking audio” and delivers it to the buds to help block out the noise.
Furthermore, Anker’s new Soundcore Sleep A30 earbuds offer sleep monitoring and sleep position tracking functionalities. These allow users to see how restful or eventful their nights were through the Soundcore smartphone app. Anker has also reduced the size of the earbuds, so they don’t protrude from your ears, to reduce pressure while wearing them.
Anker’s latest earbuds can block 30dB of external noise
Thanks to the ANC feature, Anker’s new Soundcore Sleep A30 earbuds can block up to 30dB of external noise. As you expect, the added ANC feature with two mics positioned inside and outside of your ears results in a reduced battery life. The manufacturer claims that the A20 can run for up to 14 hours on a single charge.
The company says the Sleep A30 delivers up to nine hours of battery life on a single use, or up to a total of 45 hours with the charging case. However, this battery life is only when listening to noises or snoring sounds that help you sleep. Once you turn on music or podcasts, the A30’s battery life goes down to a max of 6.5 hours or 35 hours, including the case.
Similar to the Sleep A20, Anker has made available the Sleep A30 for pre-order via a Kickstarter campaign. After the Kickstarter campaign ends, the new earbuds will be available in August through Amazon and the brand’s online stores. Anker has priced the Sleep A30 at $229.99, but those who back the Kickstarter campaign can get the new earbuds by paying just $159.
