Aamir Khan`s work front
Talking about his upcoming film, Aamir Khan is set to star in Sitaare Zameen Par, a spiritual sequel to his beloved film Taare Zameen Par. Produced under his banner, Aamir Khan Productions, the film is slated for release on June 20, 2025, and is highly anticipated.
While the film is primarily a theatrical release, for its OTT premiere, Mr. Perfectionist has reportedly jotted down a unique strategy. Aamir Khan has decided to release Sitaare Zameen Par on YouTube once it finishes its theatrical run. Actually, that`s not the interesting part. Reportedly, Khan is planning to bring in a pay-per-view model for his film, which breaks the `subscribe to the platform and watch the film as many times as you want` image.
According to Hollywood Reporter India, a source revealed, “Aamir doesn`t want to release his films directly on streaming after their theatrical run, as it discourages viewers from watching movies on the big screen. It is also a reason why there is no streaming logo on the poster of Sitaare Zameen Par.”
