Amjadullah Khan Slams Pawan Kalyan Over “Terrorist” Remark About Muslims

Hyderabad, May 6, 2025 — Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) spokesperson Amjadullah Khan issued a fiery response to Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party leader Pawan Kalyan over a controversial statement made during an interview with ANI, where Kalyan allegedly linked terrorism with the Muslim community.

In a video message that has since gone viral, Amjadullah Khan lambasted Kalyan for his “irresponsible and hateful remarks,” claiming the actor-turned-politician lacks both political maturity and a basic understanding of India’s history.

“Pawan Kalyan said 100% of terrorists are Muslims. That statement is not just ignorant, it’s dangerous,” Khan said. “This man doesn’t know the history of India or terrorism. If he did, he wouldn’t have uttered such nonsense.”

Citing examples from history, Khan reminded Kalyan that Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin, Nathuram Godse, was not a Muslim, nor were the killers of Indira Gandhi. He also referred to the mob lynchings that have occurred across the country in recent years, arguing that many of these were perpetrated by radicalized individuals from the majority community.

“If Pawan Kalyan wants to win the hearts of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah by defaming Muslims, he should know that such rhetoric will lead to his political downfall,” Khan warned.

Khan also criticized the Jana Sena Party’s Muslim members and allied parties, including the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) led by Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh, for not condemning Kalyan’s statement.

“Their silence is deafening. Are their consciences dead?” he asked. “Why haven’t any Muslim leaders in Telugu Desam resigned in protest or made a statement against this?”

In a stern conclusion, Khan issued what he termed a “final warning” to Pawan Kalyan:

“If you ever again speak against Muslims in such a derogatory manner, you will not be allowed to set foot in Telangana or Andhra. The people will respond. We will make sure your political career is finished.”

The sharp response has stirred political circles in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, prompting calls for clarification from the Jana Sena and TDP leadership. Meanwhile, no official statement has been issued yet from Pawan Kalyan’s office or his coalition partners.

This latest exchange underscores the growing communal and political tensions in the run-up to the upcoming state and national elections, with identity politics once again taking center stage.
