Alia Bhatt is known and applauded for her versatile choice of roles and the spectacular performances that often leave one spellbound. Whether it’s the fiery tempered and possessive Safeena in Gully Boy, the fearless brothel owner in Gangubai Kathiawadi, the vulnerable Badru trapped in an abusive household in Darlings or the confident Bengali journalist Rani Chatterjee in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Alia has time and again proved her knack for acting on screen solidifying her status as one of the finest in Bollywood.
Having done so many diverse roles, across varying genres, the actor still has an unfulfilled wish when it comes to cinema. Alia is yet to explore comedy as a genre and that might very well be her next calling. In an interview with Grazia, the actor revealed this wish to be on her mind for quite some time. And the reason for such a desire is as adorable as it gets. “I haven’t made a film that my daughter can watch, so these are little things that come from within.” she spoke. We love a doting mother!

Why hasn’t Alia explored comedy yet? Some might question. Well, she has an answer for that. “The reason I’m being pulled towards a comedy is because I haven’t done one. You have to find something that’s inspiring you or pulling you towards it.” Alia also expressed her belief in following her own instincts rather than someone else’s advice.
