Alia Bhatt makes her Cannes 2025 debut in a breathtaking Schiaparelli outfit

Bollywood beauty Alia Bhatt made her much-awaited Cannes 2025 red carpet debut. She chose to wear a gorgeous pink and white Schiaparelli outfit that featured intricate floral detailing, an off-shoulder neckline, and a train with ruffles. She tied her hair in a neat bun for that snatched sleek look, and opted for minimal makeup, allowing her dewy skin to do the talking. Alia attended the screening of The Mastermind. Watch the video below.

Ahead of her debut, Alia had shared, “There`s something absolutely special about firsts — and I`m so excited to make my Festival de Cannes debut this year, an iconic celebration of cinema and self-expression. It is such an honour to represent L`Oréal Paris at the Festival with this year`s theme, `Lights, Beauty and Action`. To me, beauty is about celebrating individuality, confidence, and self-worth. Why Alia Bhatt missed the Cannes 2025 opening ceremony 

For those unversed, Alia Bhatt had decided to skip the Cannes 2025 opening ceremony last minute, owing to the sensitive situation across the country in the aftermath of the India-Pakistan conflict. “As the L`Oreal ambassador, Alia was supposed to make her Cannes debut. She was slated to attend the grand opening ceremony on May 13, for which she had to fly over the weekend. But in the current times of geopolitical tension between India and Pakistan, she wanted to express solidarity with the country and decided against going,” a source had informed Mid-day.

Nevertheless, the 78th edition of the Cannes festival registered a huge Bollywood presence, with the team of Karan Johar-backed Homebound– director Neeraj Ghaywan, actors Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa, and Janhvi Kapoor, and veteran actors Sharmila Tagore and Simi Garewal were seen marking attendance at the French Riviera.

Alia Bhatt`s work front 

Meanwhile, on the work front, Alia is busy filming her upcoming movie Alpha. Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha is set to be a notable addition to Yash Raj Films` acclaimed spy universe and is scheduled for release on December 25. It also stars Sharvari as the parallel lead and Bobby Deol as a menacing antagonist. 

She also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali`s Love and War with Ranbir and Vicky Kaushal. Alia earlier collaborated with Bhansali in the 2022 drama Gangubai Kathiawadi. This will be her second collaboration with Ranbir after Brahmastra, as well as Vicky after Raazi.
