Kesari Chapter 2 Movie Review, Rating and Release Live Updates: Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh, directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and starring Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan and Ananya Panday in pivotal roles, has finally hit screens. This installment in the Kesari franchise shifts focus from battlefield heroism to legal confrontation, exploring the aftermath of the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The narrative centers on lawyer C. Sankaran Nair’s courageous legal battle against the British Empire, aiming to expose the truth behind the tragic event. The film is a cinematic adaptation of The Case That Shook the Empire by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat.

The cast features Akshay Kumar, who previously starred in Kesari, which was based on the Battle of Saragarhi. In Kesari 2, he steps into the role of lawyer C. Sankaran Nair. Sharing the screen alongside Akshay is R. Madhavan, who portrays Advocate Neville McKinley, representing the British Crown. Ananya Panday plays the pivotal role of Dilreet Gill, a key supporter in Nair’s legal battle.

Ahead of the film’s release, Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday, and R. Madhavan visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar to seek blessings. Ananya shared a photo from the visit with the caption, “Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh,” while Akshay expressed a sense of peace following the visit.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta praised the film for its poignant portrayal of the sacrifices made during India’s struggle for independence. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri described it as a “cinematic ode to India’s freedom movement,” while BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj and Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa shared similar sentiments. During the screening, Akshay expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for acknowledging Nair’s contributions and urged audiences to respect the film’s gravity by refraining from mobile phone use during screenings.
