According to industry sources, Ajay Bhupathi is currently in talks with two major production houses to remake the erotic psychological thriller in Hindi. The original version starred Payal Rajput in a daring and unconventional role that challenged the norms of Telugu cinema. She portrayed a bold and edgy character that left a lasting impression on audiences. Post the film’s release, Ajay was raved for his unique plotline and gripping writing. He believes that the subject that has a mix of raw intensity, emotions, and strong storytelling, can resonate with the audiences in Bollywood. Talks are also underway with top female stars to play the leading lady role in the remake.
A source close to the director informs, “Ajay Bhupathi has always been drawn to bold, contemporary stories, and he feels that Hindi cinema offers the freedom to explore such narratives in a larger canvas. With a reputed production house backing the remake and a top Hindi star expected to headline, the project promises to be an ambitious and daring venture.â€

Ajay to launch two star kids
Ajay is presently working on a project that’ll see the launch of two star kids – Jaya Krishna (grandson of superstar Krishna and nephew of Mahesh Babu) and Rasha (Raveena Tandon’s daughter). After he wraps up the action entertainer, he will shift focus on Mangalavaaram Hindi remake. The director shall complete the required work related to the film by next year.
